Weekly e-news May 30, 2020

Hey, everyone,

So it’s Friday…

Usually, I try to think up a handful of encouragement to toss on the page for the end of the week…

But this was a tough one.

“How do I find anything to share in a week of so much grief and sadness…
so many gone in death across our country…
so many friends…grandpas and grandmas…lifelong loves…included in the “100,000”…
so many broken-hearted families who couldn’t even hold a hand or say ‘good-bye’…
so much cruelty and racial hate…
so much animosity and antagonism…
so much sorrow…”

And then I got it…My encouraging thought!

“It won’t be this way forever!”

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away!…
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”  (Revelation 21:1, 5)

There’ll be no social distancing there!
We’ll all be scrunched up together around the Throne and around the Table!
We’ll hug and embrace without fear just like they did way back when!
(“They all kissed and embraced him…” Acts 20:37)

“And they are singing with a loud voice”…
(with NO fear of spreading the corona!)…
“Worthy is the Lamb!” (Revelation 5:12)

And all of them “have the right to…go through the gates into the city…” (Revelation 22:14)
“How many do they let in at one time?? 
How many are in there together? 
More than fifty in one space??”

Yes!! 

There are “thousands upon thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand!” (Revelation 5:11)

And around the Throne there will be people from…
“every tongue…
tribe…
people…
and nation!” (Revelation 5:9-10)

Thousands upon thousands of people…
Black, brown, white, Asian…
Ten thousand times ten thousand!!

Worshipping and praising the Lamb their Savior all together!

Just like the family of love they were ALWAYS supposed to be!

All hugs!
No hurt!

All praising!
No tears!

All love!
No hate!!

Only love!

I can only imagine.
