Hey, everyone!

It's gonna be an awesome day today! 85 and totally sunny all day!! I'm so thankful!

Well, not here…Here it's gonna be 50-ish, cloudy and yucky sorta. I guess I'm talking about the sunny day they're having in Ghana, Africa today! That's where my heart is these days…

My youngest, Emi and her sweet hubby, Graham (I call him Grahamy) landed there yesterday. They're are going to do the first beaurocratic deeds, paper work, documents, court dates they have before them in order to finally (and hopefully soon!) bring home the baby boys they are adopting from there! And two sweeter faces you have never seen!

Desmond and Quincey…They're not yet two, but…

What a story!

What a life ahead of them!

What love they will have!!

In fact, what love they already DO have!

Two babies among millions on a continent so filled with poverty, sickness and hurt. Ghana is better than most of Africa. Average yearly income per person is $1500 (ours is $46,000!), but they do have 30% who live on less than $1.50 a day. Like our Des and Quince. They have no parents and have lived their first months in orphanages.

But things are about to change! They have NO idea how much!

The reason is that there are two hearts far away who have cared about them.

There are two hearts that looked for them.

There are two hearts that looked until they found them!

They chose them!

They just placed their affection and love on those boys!

The boys aren't brothers. But they'll be a family soon!

It's cost a lot of money…

It's taken lots of time, labor, and persistence (and they are just beginning…)

Emi and Graham have traveled a long way…

They have shed many tears…

They have and will sacrifice lots to have their boys…

Those boys will one day hear the story of how they came to have a family and a new home…

Right now they have no idea how deeply they are loved and all that is being prepared for them!

They may never be able to completely understand the depths of love and all it took to have them!

This should be a movie! It's like no story I've ever heard!

Wait…actually…it's just like mine!

I was lost and alone once.

It says in Ephesians 2 that I was "without hope and without God in the world"…

But far away, there was a heart in Heaven- the very heart of God!- that cared for me!

And He looked for me!

He looked until He found me!

He chose me!

He just placed His love and affection on me!

He knew I'd be in His family soon!

It cost Him a lot!

It took time, labor, persistence…

He traveled a long way…

Many tears between a Father and a Son were shed…

He would sacrifice lots…more than I could know…to have His boy…

One day, I heard the story of how I came to have a new family and a new home…

But really, I still have no idea how deeply I am loved and all that is prepared for me!

I may never be able to completely understand the depths of love and all that it took to have me!

What a story!

What a life ahead of me!

What love I have had!!

In fact, what love I always WILL have!

It's your story, too!

What a story!

What a life ahead of you!

What love you have had!!

In fact, what love you always WILL have!

A soon-to-be mom and dad are about to hold two boys in their arms…

mmmmm….

As I was saying, it's gonna be an awesome day today! 85 and totally sunny all day!!

That's the weather…
