Get Back Up, It's Okay

You may not have done this day quite like you wanted to. When you were falling asleep last night, maybe you thought today would be a day filled with the joy of the Lord. Maybe you thought you would wake up ready to go, have an awesome quiet time and then spend the whole day just loving people like Jesus would. But then you actually woke up (later than you wanted to) and everything went downhill from there. Maybe this has turned out to be a downright awful day and you just can’t wait to be done with it. Maybe you’ve made such a huge mess of this day that you can’t possibly imagine facing yet another one when this day’s done!

If that’s you, I want to encourage you with something:

“His mercies never fail. They are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23) You see, tomorrow is a new day, filled with new chances, new opportunities and new mercies! So what if you fell or failed today... it’s okay! It’s not the end of the world. If you fell, get back up! God loves you, He has made up His mind that you are His and He is full of patience and love for you! He has promised you will never be condemned. He has promised that He’ll never leave you nor forsake you. He has promised He will never let go of you. He promised that will carry on His work until the very end. You belong to God - the patient, compassionate, tender heart who made you and is remaking you. Every day is new, so don’t hang your head. Instead, get back up.
