For Those Feeling Insecure Today

Say this prayer with me:

“Jesus, You made me this way. You like me like this. I don’t feel it, I don’t really believe it. To be honest, most of the time I don’t really like me all that much, but You like me. You love me. You came here for me. You lived a perfect life for me. You laid that beautiful life down in suffering, abandonment and death. You didn’t have to do all that, but you did. You did it to rescue me. You think I’m worth rescuing! You call me a treasure. You call me the pearl of great price. You call me Your very own. You call me Your child. You saw me, You wanted me, You gave up everything just to make me Yours. I may not always understand it, but it feels good to be loved by You. Come to think of it, if You think that highly of me, I don’t really need anyone else’s approval. Jesus, if You have accepted me, I’m really accepted! Lord, if You love me, I’m really loved. If I have Your smile, I don’t need anyone else’s! Help me to believe what you say about me. Comfort my heart and strengthen me to trust You way down in my bones. I love you, Lord. Thank you. Amen.”
